Fair By Design responded to BEIS’ consultation paper on the Warm Home Discount (WHD) from 2022, including how to better target support.
This follows the government’s Energy White Paper that confirmed:
• Extension of the WHD scheme from 2022 to 2025/26.
• Increasing spending on the scheme from £350m to £475m per year. This means support for an additional 750,000 households, and a total of 3m.
• Looking at automatically giving eligible households the £140 rebate.
Government also confirmed that it will consult on requiring small suppliers to offer WHD.
