We’ve had no savings, since the beginning of COVID.

We can plan for things and save up but when a big ticket item goes, the money isn’t there.
When the cooker went – we applied for a loan, got knocked back. I had to ask my dad to put it on his credit card, and pay him back.
We didn’t have a choice – we needed to feed the kids.
The same bank won’t give us a loan to repay at £20 a month, but they’ll happily take £17 a month in overdraft charges.
People would have more faith in a fairer system.
